Your data
When you sign up to my mailing list via my website I collect the data shown in the form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/
If you’re a client of mine, then I keep your personal data like name and email address so that I can keep in touch with you about projects and work we have agreed together (be a bit hard to do it without that…). I won’t sign you up to my mailing list without your express permission (cos that is really annoying) and I won’t give your details to anyone else without checking with you first. Capiche?
Cookies
I use cookies (not the yummy kind…) to help make your visit to my website smoother. None of the cookies I use collects your personal data UNLESS you complete a sign-up form to my mailing list. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Some stuff on my site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who I share your data with
When I collected your personal data for my mailing list, it is hosted by ActiveCampaign. Your data is stored safely within their servers and fully GDPR compliant. You can read their GDPR policy here.
I don’t share your data with anyone else, sell it or use it for anything other than sending you updates on services, products and newsletters. You can opt out of these at any time and request your records be deleted. You just need to email me [email protected]
How long I keep your data
If you’re active on my mailing list then your data is retained indefinitely.
If you become inactive on my mailing list (you don’t open anything or you unsubscribe) then I delete your data one year after you’ve become inactive or unsubscribed. Might seem a long time but I’m a one-woman-band. Once a year is just about enough to tidy up my mailing list.
If you’re a client, or previous client, then I keep your personal data for five years before I say sayonara.
What rights you have over your data
If you’ve signed up to my mailing list then you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided me with. You can also request that I erase any personal data I have of yours. This doesn’t include any data I’m obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Your data may be checked through an automated spam detection service when you sign up to my mailing list.
